Frequently asked questions
How much does a session cost?
Portrait sessions start at £250, couple sessions at £300 and family sessions at £350. Studio hire for photo and content shoots is £30 per hour, with a minimum booking of 2 hours.
How do deposits and payment work?
A minimum 30% deposit is required to secure your session. When you book, you can pay a 30% deposit, a 50% deposit or the full amount. Your booking is confirmed once your payment has been received, and any remaining balance is due on or before the day of your shoot. Weddings are different: full payment must be confirmed at least 2 weeks before the event date.
Where do the sessions take place?
Sessions take place at our Edinburgh studio, or on location. There is no extra fee for location shoots within Edinburgh. Home sessions are also available, with an additional £50 home session fee on top of the session price.
How long until I receive my photos?
Turnaround depends on the type of session booked. A regular photo session is typically delivered within one week, while weddings take between one and three months.
How does the gallery and delivery process work?
Every session includes a private online gallery where you can review and select your images. Please make your final selection within 7 days of receiving your gallery, as later selections will delay delivery. Standard delivery of your edited images is within 7 days of your final selection.
Can I get my photos faster?
Yes. Express delivery returns your edited images within 3 days of your final selection. It costs £50 for sessions with 6 or fewer images, and £100 for sessions with more than 6 images.
Can I buy extra images or an album?
Yes. Extra edited images are £15 each, and a 20 page photo album is £120.
What happens if I am late to my session?
Please aim to arrive a few minutes early. Time lost to a late start cannot usually be added on the end, and a £15 fee applies for every 15 minutes after your scheduled start time.
How do I book?
Choose your session on the booking page and complete the booking form. You will receive a confirmation once your payment has been received. If you have any questions first, email enquiry@travisolufemistudios.co.uk.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
Plans can change. If you need to move your session, please contact us as early as you can, and at least 72 hours before it starts, and we will gladly rebook you once for another available date, free of charge. For weddings, please tell us as early as possible, and give at least one month’s notice to change your date. Deposits are non-refundable because your deposit holds your date and covers the preparation we do for it. If you cancel within 14 days of a session, or within 60 days of a wedding, the remaining balance may still be payable. If we ever have to cancel, you will receive a full refund of everything you have paid. Please email bookings@travisolufemistudios.co.uk as soon as you know you need to make a change.
Can I hire the studio without a photographer?
Yes, the studio is available to hire for your own photo and content shoots at £30 per hour. The minimum booking is 2 hours.
